Is America still free?
Let me start this column out by saying, “The coronavirus is real!” COVID-19 is a real virus that sickens some; proves fatal to others, mostly the elderly; and does nothing to the vast majority! With that said, let’s look at a few other facts that I see happening around our nation and world.
The word “priming” or “to be primed” means to tell someone something that will prepare them for a particular situation. In our world, for the last several months, we have all been told over and over and over, “We’re all in this together,” “Stay home; stay safe,” and this is “a new normal.”
Let’s take those words and sayings and apply them to the effect that priming has on society. Could it be, possibly, that subconsciously there are people that now believe that “those people” that are not “staying home; to stay safe” and “those people” that are not wearing masks are “not in this with me?”
Is this why so many of the ones staying at home and wearing masks now feel so much anger and bitterness towards the ones that they subconsciously (and consciously) feel are now “against them?”
People that used to be considered as sweet and nice are now cranky people that say mean things to their friends and neighbors, and glare daggers at others walking around without a mask, or happen to walk the “wrong way” down a grocery aisle.
Do these new-found cranky people even realize how mean and nasty acting they have become?
(It is worth stating, here that doctors have come forward saying that sheltering at home can have an adverse effect on immune systems. Our bodies need to build up antibodies to help fight off viruses, even the common cold. Other doctors have even stated that byproducts of isolation can impact immune systems, such as stress, depression, bad sleep and bad health habits; all of which had been documented as effects of sheltering at home).
(Also worth stating: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced recently that 66 percent of the state’s new coronavirus patients were sheltering in place, at home).
This world melt-down all started in March when a few scientists ran computer-generated models and shared the predictions of how many people may die from the Coronavirus. These same scientists even acknowledged that computer modeling is inaccurate and errs on the side of hype. It was predicted that 100,000 to 250,000 people would die of COVID-19. As of now, 98,216 deaths have been reported in the United States.
But, are all deaths really FROM the coronavirus or did a lot of those people just happen to have the virus in their system at time of death? That is a question that is being asked from coast to coast in every nation and country. There have been many coroners, health department employees, hospital employees and doctors (among others) who have gone on record saying they know of many deaths where COVID-19 wasn’t the actual cause of death, but was listed because the person had it in their system at time of death (example – someone dies in a car wreck, but if they have the coronavirus in their blood stream then their death is reported as a COVID-19 death). In fact, there are hundreds of documented cases across the nation where family members are publicly speaking out against their loved one being classified as a COVID-19 death. These family members are saying their loved ones had been sick for months with failing hearts, pneumonia, cancer, and liver failure. Did the virus make them weaker? Yes, possibly.
But the reason of death, in their opinion, is the fact they were dying from liver failure anyway and the virus did not kill them. Some states have even come forwarded and admitted what was happening and have said their policies have now changed on how deaths are now being reported.
However, because of the high number of death predictions from a computer-generated model, the world has all but totally shut down. Businesses have been shut down. People have lost their jobs. People have been “ordered” to stay home. People have been “ordered” to wear masks or not be allowed in certain businesses.
It is true that there have been both state and local executive orders forcing nonessential businesses to close and then remain closed. But the most important thing to remember is that people are actually being arrested and fined for violating a “rule” that has never been approved by the legislatures at any level.
• In New Jersey, two gym owners were both charged on a summons with a disorderly person’s offense. Police then began issuing summons citations to gym members as they left the facility. One member was also arrested and charged with obstructing the administration of law, after he declined to give officers his name and with violating the governor’s executive order.
• A Texas salon owner was arrested and spent time in jail, along with thousands of dollars of fines, for opening her business before the governor deemed her business “essential.”
• Los Angeles’ Mayor threatened to shut down water and power to “nonessential businesses” that refused to close stating, “We won’t tolerate the selfish behavior of a few who unnecessarily put our community at risk.” (Priming at its finest). He then also said, “Safer at Home” emergency shelter-in-place orders would be strictly enforced. (Again, priming everyone that it is safer at home and those that don’t adhere or believe should be viewed as people who are not “in this together.”)
• In Colorado, one man was arrested for being in a city park playing tee-ball with his wife and six-year-old daughter.
• In California, a man was arrested for being on his boat, in the ocean and disobeying a lifeguard and violating the governor’s stay at home order. Another man in California was fined $1,000 after ignoring repeated orders to exit the ocean.
It is really scary that … just like that (finger snap) our government can bring America to her knees. Medical facilities, education, jobs, travel, extracurricular activities, social gatherings, sports, whether or not you can leave your house, how close we are to stand or sit by someone and even how many people we can gather with at one time.
Mass panic, food hoarding and economic hysteria.
The government, at the click of a finger, had control over every aspect of our lives.
Our “freedom” became very limited! Why? Because we allowed it to happen!
The good news is that people have finally started getting fed up with the unconstitutional control and are opening their businesses and going about their lives with or without the government’s “approval.” Which is EXACTLY what they/we should do!
I have never been one to support a protest. I don’t like them and generally don’t agree with them! However, the protests that are now popping up all across America…protests to show the government that WE THE PEOPLE demand the government to stand down …THOSE I agree with!
Last time I checked, we still lived in America. America the Great! America the Beautiful! And America the FREE!
If you’re going to infringe on everyone’s constitutional rights, it should be for a good reason – not just a theory!
If you want to stay home and feel safe. That’s your right!
If you want to wear a mask. That’s your right!
If you want to avoid large crowds. That’s your right!
If you want to skip church because you’re afraid to be around other people! Don’t go! That’s your right!
But I, for one, am sick of people telling me I don’t care about other people because I refuse to wear a mask!
I am sick of people telling me I shouldn’t be working every day to make money to support my family!
I am sick of not being able to go to church because other people are afraid to go!
I am sick of people telling me I don’t love my mother and aunt because I am working, not wearing a mask, and am still visiting them.
These choices are my right! Just as you have your rights! I don’t judge you for wearing a mask; do not judge me because I don’t.
America - The data was inaccurate at best; quit ALLOWING the government to destroy our businesses, religious gatherings, fellowship, privacy rights, mental health…our FREEDOMS!
The reason the beaches were so crowded this past weekend and pool parties were over-flowing with people, is because more and more people have finally decided they are fed up with all the unconstitutional restrictions, as well.
As I end this column/rant I would like to throw in a last side note: As my brother/PA pointed out a few weeks ago: the upcoming rise in confirmed coronavirus cases will NOT be due to lifting restrictions and/or more public gatherings. It will be because technology has progressed and now we have more test ķits; even some for people to administer themselves without going to the doctor. Millions more being tested every day means hundreds of thousands more positives.
It really is THAT simple.
Please don't blame it on anything else.
Wisdom comes from asking questions and doing research, not from simply following along with whatever we’re told.
