I support Trump AND I’m a Christian
I am sick and tired of news articles, broadcasts and people on social media telling me that I am less of a Christian for being a Trump supporter...and telling me I should re-evaluate myself because of his (lack of) moral values.
• Let’s ask our law enforcement officers (LEO) under whose administration did “Blue Lives Matter” quit existing.
• Let’s ask anyone with money invested in the stock market under whose administration did their investment lose money and whose administration has their investment made money (and even with the Coronavirus exaggeration, our economy is bouncing right back).
• Let’s ask anyone who had to take a tax penalty for not having health insurance (with Obamacare) whose administration is now saving them money by not MAKING them have a health plan (thus not making the government be in absolute control of them).
• Let’s ask military personnel who they are more confident under - especially after the made-up BS cover up of Benghazi.
I am sick of being accused of not loving Jesus enough because I actually like our President.
I did not like Obama. I didn’t. But I did not call Obama “lovers” non-Christian. Why is it that “Trump haters” think the rest of us are all going to hell because we like Trump? It’s a purely narrow minded / immature mindset!
I have often heard/read, “How can you follow Jesus and Donald Trump?”
Answer: I/we are not following a man…I/we are shaping a movement.
I do not vote for someone based on how nice or mean their tweets are. I do not vote for someone based on what he may or may not say that is vulgar, in private, while secretly being recorded. I vote for someone based on the future direction of America, creating jobs for Americans and improving the quality of life for all Americans.
Some ask, “In what direction is Trump leading this country?”
Answer: President Trump expects greatness from America, he tells us how to get to greatness, he inspires people to be better than they are and to have the hope that their efforts will not be thwarted by bigger government. President Trump knows how to run a business in the business world. America is a business…our economy, world trade deals, negotiating over military spending, keeping America profitable…all of that is business. It is not meant to be handled with only political hand-offs and hand-outs. In order for America to survive and thrive, we MUST have a good business approach and a strong backbone! Both of which are some of President Trump’s strongest attributes!
Some ask and wonder how women can support Trump after the derogatory remarks he has made about women.
Answer: “…let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” John 8:7 (NLT). And “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 (NIV).
If a leader lacks (what you perceive as) Christian character but is pointing the nation back to God, is that a bad thing? If a leader is honoring hard work and minimizing free handouts, is that a bad thing?
God doesn’t judge a nation based on the character of one man; He judges it based on the spiritual health of her people.
Christians are the ones that are to love everyone equally regardless of color, nationality or sexuality…true? Yet there are Christians out there bashing and name-calling because of political stances! There are Christians around this nation questioning my faith…because of who I vote for? Do those certain Christians really think God thinks that is okay?
I actually saw on Facebook a few weeks ago, another person’s link to a story about “10 characteristics of the Anti-Christ” that implied that Donald Trump could be the Anti-Christ. I didn’t read the story but instead I skimmed the comments. And there…there was a comment that said, “I am a Trump supporter.” The answer back (from the man that posted the story link) said, “That is okay. We can still be friends.” Then (and here comes the clincher) another “friend” says, “No. If they support this man …then their support of such a man speaks volumes about their character.” So, the man that made the original post came back and said, “I stand corrected. Now is not the time to “play nice” and respect anyone’s choice.” He then goes on to tag her name and say, “If you support everything Trump represents – you are a hypocrite, an embarrassment, a disgrace.” So, in one swift move he just “defriended” her and said it’s not okay to have different opinions (because someone else told him to).
I, then, made a comment saying I couldn’t believe I had just read what had just occurred. That this grown man had just caved in to the mentality of the world on how two people cannot/should not have opposite opinions. It was like watching a school-yard fight between elementary children.
His response to me…I’ve now been “unfriended.” Actually, he has “blocked” me. Which doesn’t really matter to me – we weren’t “friends” anyway.
But, how do proclaimed Christians do that? How do they act like that? That is my biggest question.
I like President Trump. But if I meet someone who doesn’t…then that’s fine. They have their right to their opinion. I want to keep and bear arms. But if I meet someone who wants gun control I do not think they are “un-Christian” and are going to hell.
So why is it that “Trump-haters” think I’m not a real Christian and that I’m going to hell?
Because…the majority of news outlets spin most everything to put President Trump in a bad light. Their hatred for him trumps the truth. Their agenda is simple and clear: remove him from office at any cost!
I wish more people could realize this; mainstream media groups are really coming after you, me and our Christian values. The mainstream media keeps the good news out and only reports the bad news, so that more and more people never even see the good that is actually happening in our great country! They only want us to see the bad!
Our borders are being protected, he is for human life, he elects good judges, socialism is being resisted, employment rates have been up (minus the Coronavirus pandemic exaggeration), prayer is being brought back into schools, and the list goes on. So, again, I am not following a man, I am trying to help revitalize a movement.
Trump 2020!
And if I die before election day…I’ll be sitting in Heaven watching for the results!
