A woman was created differently on purpose
“Our generation is so busy trying to prove that women can do everything men can do, women are losing the unique qualities that set us apart; the God-given femininity and unique way our Creator designed us. Women weren't created to do everything a man can do... Women were created to do everything a man can't do.
“The lioness does not try to be the lion. She embraces her role as the lioness. She is powerful, strong, and nurturing. She does not mistake her meekness for weakness. The world needs more kind, compassionate, humble, faithful, persevering, confident, fierce, bold, pure and tender-hearted women. Be one of them.”
I like this quote. This is not meant to insult either gender. I have no desire to be a man but yet would not want to live in a world without them. I love being a woman. I love my femininity. I love the fact that I am the mother (not father) of my two daughters. I love that a “mother’s love” is like no other love.
I am not what you would call a women's libber but I am for women working for equal pay and not having to be dependent on men. I am for equal pay and equal opportunity, for a job that can be done just as well as a man.
However, if a woman correctional officer needs a man to walk with her through the halls of a correctional institute in order to keep her safe from men … then a man needs to do the job, and not pay two people to do a one-man job, at the taxpayers’ expense. On the same token, if it takes a woman two to three times as long to dig a ditch on the road crew, than a man, then the man needs to dig the ditch to begin with and save the taxpayers’ money from paying her twice as much to do a job that the man could do in less time.
God did make men physically stronger, in many aspects, and sometimes women need to realize it and admit to it. There are some jobs that men are better made to do and there are some jobs women are better made to do than men.
I do not like when people look down on women and think they are less deserving just because they are a woman. God made Eve from the rib of man. Not from the head so that the man is considered higher than she. And not from the legs or feet, so that she be considered below the man. But from his side so that the two are considered equal.
But, God also made us clearly different. And women need to embrace those roles and become all that they are rather than trying to become someone they are told to be, or want to prove they can be.
My parents raised me to always believe in myself and always told me that I could become whoever and whatever I wanted to be. I was never told I couldn’t do anything because I was born female. I was an “empowered woman” before I even knew what that meant.
With that said, I do not want to dig ditches or lay asphalt just to prove I can do it. I am more than happy to let the men do that, and I will gladly say they are better than me at doing it! (Not to say there are some women in this world that can do it as well as a man.) I will also never be seen wearing a p@#%y hat. That, to me, is the most degrading thing that women have done to our own gender, ever! For all the women, in our history, that fought with honor for our freedom to vote, to have an education, and for equality in the workforce … those hats and your “movement” is a slap in the face. To wear those hats and scream equality while wanting to be recognized as being different, all at the same time, is an oxymoron.
I believe in equal opportunity and equal responsibility for women – but I surely don't believe in modern feminism.
I think we, as women, should embrace our femininity and understand that it is a God-given blessing to be kind, compassionate and the gentler species of the two genders. God made us like that on purpose. It doesn’t mean we are not able to have a great job and career and still be considered an absolutely amazing woman, with all the qualities God gave us and the reason men love us!
God created women differently on purpose. Embrace it! Be proud of it! Own it!
