Emily Grosskopf reflects on memories, accomplishments as JCPL director

Hailey Heseltine ECB Publishing, Inc. In early 2026, Emily Grosskopf became the new library director at the Jefferson County R.J. Bailar Public Library (JCPL). After about ten months of serving as director, she had to step down from the position, as an ongoing health concern made her 45-minute commute from Lee unsustainable. Though her time with the library was short, Grosskopf made lasting memories with the local community and left an impact on JPCL by establishing and expanding programs.
