A supportive gathering called “Hope for the Holidays” takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. at the Big Bend Hospice field office (615 N. Jefferson St.). A trained grief counselor on the Big Bend Hospice staff will offer understanding, practical tools and encouragement to help those who have lost a loved one navigate difficulties that come with the season.
