The Rotary Club meets at 11:45 a.m. at 420 W. Washington St.
The second annual JCS Ultimate Tailgate Party will be held at Harry Jacobs Field 4:30–6:30 p.m. This free homecoming celebration is an afternoon full of food, fun and music open to all JCS students, friends, families and the community.
OCTOBER 25 (Saturday)
A Second Harvest food sharing takes place at New Bethel A.M.E. Church (6496 Ashville Hwy.) from 7 to 8 a.m. or until the food is gone. This is a joint effort of Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Church, Elizabeth M.B. Church, Hickory Hill M.B. Church and Philadelphia M.B. Church.
A New Day Initiative food pantry (1599 Waukeenah Hwy.) is open from 8 a.m. until the food is gone.
The Life Source Choice Food Pantry (1599 Spring Hollow Rd.) is open 7:30-9 a.m.
Halloween Bats, Beasts & Boos is 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the North Florida Wildlife Center (1386 Cook Rd.), with trick-or-treating, goat feeding, face painting, local food and drink and more. Admission starting at $7.99.
A Cars and Coffee event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at the CarQuest Auto Parts (1321 S. Jefferson St.). People interested in classic cars are invited to bring coffee, hang out and enjoy the cars. For more information, contact Don Romaine at (850) 242-2243.
The annual Candy Crawl takes place in downtown Monticello 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Kids in costume visit downtown merchants for free seasonal treats and games.
