Explosives found in stolen car in Lamont

Laura Young  ECB Publishing, Inc.  The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that on Tuesday, May 6, Troopers stopped a vehicle on U.S. 19 South near I-10 in Lamont, Fla., which had been reported as stolen the day before by the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. In the process of arresting the driver, 43-year-old Michael Hargis from Kentucky, an explosive mortar round was discovered in the trunk.  The State Fire Marshall as well as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit were called
