A third of the world's food production is only possible because of the presence of bees, and incredibly, one in every three bites of food we consume each day relies on pollination. This makes bees one of the most important species on the planet, for without them, a vast majority of our food crops would fail. In spite of their importance, bee populations continue to decline due to the use of pesticides and the environmental effects of climate change.
