Extension office welcomes new director

This June, Michael Sneed Jr. joined the faculty of UF/IFAS Extension in the roles of 4-H Agent and County Extension Director for Jefferson County. He fills the vacancy left by John Lilly, who recently retired after more than 30 years at the local extension office.
A native of North Florida, Sneed had his first experience of 4-H during high school in nearby Perry, Fla., where the program fed his dreams and opened his eyes to the possibility of going to college. After serving honorably for three years with the 82nd Airborne Division in the United States Army, Sneed went on to earn a degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla.,
