FAMU sorority donates shoes to Clothing Closet

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. The Zen Den at Jefferson County K-12 School (JCS) was the site of a special meeting on Friday, Dec. 8. Three college students representing FAMU's Eta Alpha Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority came to campus bearing a box full of shoes to donate to the Clothes Closet. To accept the donation, JCS teachers selected 21 student leaders to represent the school. It turned out that making the donation was just a small part of the gathering. The sorority sisters took the opportunity to talk with the JCS students about their plans for the future, offering their own stories as well as advice for pursuing their interests, whatever path that might take them on.
