Each year during the week leading up to Thanksgiving, Farm-City Week is observed. The week is set aside to bring attention to the crucial and beneficial partnerships between rural and urban communities. Across the nation, farmers and ranchers alike depend on partnerships forged in urban areas in order to supply, sell and deliver finished products from coast to coast and beyond. This year, Farm-City Week was observed from Wednesday, Nov. 15, through Wednesday, Nov. 22.
Locally, Farm-City Week will be kicked off with a program presented by the Florida Farm Bureau at the Kiwanis meeting on Nov. 15 at the Jefferson Country Club, located at 748 Boston Hwy.
