Fatal wreck leaves one dead, one injured, seven unharmed

On the morning of Thursday, Dec. 26, at approximately 6 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) was alerted to a crash involving a van on Boston Highway and Dills Road. According to a press release provided by FHP, the van contained nine individuals. There were six adults, aged 21, 30, 32, 22, 24 and 29, all from Valdosta. The driver, a 21-year-old male, was unharmed in the crash, but one of the passengers, a 30-year-old male, suffered serious injury during the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jefferson County EMS.
