Fire assessment set to increase next year

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc.  The Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners has initiated the process for the reimposition of three special assessments that go to fund fire protection, solid waste collection and disposal services countywide, and the maintenance of roads in a specified community. On Thursday, July 16, County Attorney Evan Rosenthal introduced three resolutions for preliminary approval by the commission to reimpose the fire and solid waste special assessments, plu
