Fire consumes semi truck

On Thursday, Aug. 15, the Jefferson County Fire Rescue responded to an emergency call about a semi-truck that was engulfed in flames. At approximately 7:30 a.m., local officials responded to the fire, which had consumed a freight trailer that had been traveling eastbound on I-10 near exit 225, just west of the exit, causing a temporary traffic lane closure of one eastbound lane.
