Fire Rescue gets funds to purchase ambulance and life-saving equipment

County officials recently ratified an agreement that provided Jefferson County Fire Rescue with a $90,000 state grant for the purchase of critical equipment used by the Emergency Medical Service (EMS). The grant, from the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), required a local match of $10,000, bringing the total funding available for the expenditure to $100,000. Fire Rescue planned to use the funding to purchase two additional LifePak units, which enable EMTs
