First candidate forum draws capacity crowd

The Political Forum on Thursday evening, July 11, in the Jefferson County Courthouse featured the two candidates for Jefferson County Sheriff and all four candidates for Clerk of Court/Comptroller. The 198 people who attended in person in the courtroom were a standing-room-only crowd that filled every seat and stood lining the walls, while 80 more people followed the live-streamed session on the Facebook page of the Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, who hosted the event.
