Flag retirement ceremony set for June 14

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. Flag Day is Sunday, June 14, and American Legion Post 49 of Monticello will be conducting a retirement ceremony for U.S. flags that are no longer serviceable. Do you have a flag that needs to be respectfully retired? Post 49 has set up two collection receptacles. One is on the front porch of the Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, located at 420 W. Washington St. The other is outside the front door of the Otto M. Walker American Legion Post No. 49
