Flag retirement ceremony set for Saturday, June 14

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc.  Flag Day is Saturday, June 14, and American Legion Post 49 of Monticello will be conducting a retirement ceremony for U.S. flags that are no longer serviceable.  Do you have a flag that needs to be respectfully retired? The Post has set up a collection barrel on the front porch of the Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, located at 420 W. Washington St. To have your flag included in the Flag Day ceremony, please drop it off by Friday, June
