Florida has a new tax holiday for hunting, fishing and camping

Kathy Egan ECB Publishing, Inc. If you need supplies for your camping, fishing and hiking adventures, the time to stock up is Sept. 8 through Dec. 31, 2025. This time period serves as Florida's first-ever Hunting, Fishing and Camping Sales Tax Holiday. During the tax holiday, most items purchased specifically for one of the three activities are exempt from sales tax, similar to the more-familiar back-to-school tax holiday that we are accustomed to. It does not apply to rented merchandise.
