During these trying times of unemployment caused by the coronavirus pandemic many household are suffering with lack of food for a decent sit-down meal.
Because of this, several churches and organizations have opened their hearts and hands to distribute food products and such to those in need.
• On Thursday, May 14, 21 and 28, there will be a food distribution in Greenville at the old Dollar General store location on Highway 90, beginning at 1:30 p.m. There will be signs posted along the road.
• Central Baptist Church, 625 Tindell Rd., will be hosting a food distribution starting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19.
• On Wednesday, May 20, EaglesWings, a ministry division of First Presbyterian Church, will hold a food distribution from 9 to 11 a.m. on at the First Presbyterian Church located at 290 E. Dogwood St.
• New Bethel AME Church, 6496 Ashville Hwy., will host its monthly food distribution on Saturday, May 23, starting at 8 a.m.
• On Friday, May 29, there will be food distribution held at Christ Episcopal Church, 425 N. Cherry St., starting at 9 a.m.
• Truth Gatherers Victorious Church, 1599 Springhollow Rd., will be holding its monthly food distribution on Saturday, May 30, starting at 9 a.m.
All clients are asked to stay in their vehicles. Volunteers will place food packages in your vehicles.
