With the arrival of COVID-19, many activities for children and adults were canceled due to health concerns and to keep the spread of the virus under control. The problem is that children need exercise, and recent restrictions on group sizes activities deemed non-essential have prevented a lot of activities, especially group or team activities.

The Jefferson County Recreation Park has some good options for organized sports. The youth flag football season is underway for youths ages 6-16. The league is open to boys and girls.
