Former city manager back in the saddle on interim basis

Monticello city officials recently signed an agreement with former longtime City Manager Steve Wingate that allows him to return on a consultant basis as interim city manager until the council can hire a permanent replacement for the position. The Monticello City Council signed the agreement with Wingate on Tuesday evening, Oct. 1, formalizing an arrangement that had more or less already been in place for several months.
