Forum for School Superintendent and Tax Collector candidates is July 18

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. The Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce is once again offering a series of political forums to prepare voters for the primaries. The second forum in the series takes place at the Jefferson County Courthouse at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18. It will feature Republican and Democratic candidates for Superintendent of Schools and Republican candidates for Tax Collector. Candidates for Superintendent of Schools are incumbent Eydie Tricquet (R), Al Cooksey (R), LaClarence Mays (D) and Jackie Pons (D).
