Anyone who is paying attention knows that Jefferson County has an animal problem. Specifically with loose, unwanted or abandoned animals. With a lack of reliable resources, many animal-loving residents are forced to go out of county for assistance with strays, as the facilities that operate within the community are unable to keep up with the constant influx of unwanted animals.
There is a number of ways that an animal finds its way into an animal rescue or holding facility. Strays that wander the neighborhood or those who become a nuisance are often captured by good samaritans and are brought into a local rescue in an effort to save them from danger
