The Jefferson County R. J. Bailar Public Library is presenting a free Literacy Festival on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m at the recreation park, located at 1380 Mamie Scott Dr.
Enjoy free food, snow cones, free books, big raffle giveaways and the chance to touch a fire truck. There also will be craft stations, adoptable dogs, special presenters, health checks, face painting and more.
