We need an administrative volunteer!
For several years, a free medical clinic has operated from the Episcopal Church parish hall. We have volunteer doctors, nurses and others. We do not see anyone who has insurance. If you have Medicaid or Medicare we do not see you. Patients must meet an economic need category.
Essentially we see people who are working but cannot afford the exorbitant cost of health insurance.
We need a volunteer to assist the nurses by faxing prescriptions and medical records as well as helping patients to know where to go.
Medical training is not necessary, but knowledge of medical terms would be helpful.
We meet once a month for several hours, so this is not a huge time commitment.
