North Florida Christian Eagles

With football season in full swing, community members can drive by any high school on Friday nights and see the stadium lights shining bright, as two high school teams clash in a battle that can either make or break the season. Friday, Sept. 10, at 7:30 p.m., the Jefferson County Tigers will face off against the North Florida Christian Eagles at home as they give their all to snap a two-game losing streak.
This season's start has been challenging for the young and inexperienced Tigers as they have suffered two losses in a row, but this is no problem for Coach Reynolds and his staff. They are working hard in preparing their young Tigers for Friday's game against the 1-1 Eagles. The Tigers' first game came with a hard loss, with an error that cost them the winning score. Since then, the Tigers have been working hard not to have a repeat of those mistakes. The Tigers have shown their opponents that they will not just roll over and give up even though they did not walk away with the win.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Eagles better watch out for Jazavius Hawkins (#2), as he is one of the Tigers' most dangerous weapon. He can take to the air against teams racking up over 100-yards with just three receptions or be just as explosive on the ground rushing for 100-yards plus. Hawkins also starts on the kick return and has this season already taken one to the “house” for 70-yards. And on the defensive side, all eyes should be on N'jay Coasey as he puts pressure on any offense that lines up in front of him. During Coasey's first game of the season, he had 16 tackles, 10 of them solo and six assists with one forced fumble. This power backing the Tigers' defense will make it hard for the Eagles quarterback to get plays off.
So come down and support your Tigers as they upset the Eagles and send them home with another loss under their belt.
A.C.A. Warriors vs.
Saint Francis Catholic Wolves

This week's Friday night lights sneak peak showcases the 2-0 Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA)Warriors and the 0-2 Saint Francis Catholic Wolves. The Warriors have taken off to a significant lead in the conference, starting this year undefeated and now having their sights set on taking down the Wolves this Friday, Sept. 10. The Warriors will be hitting the road heading to the Wolves den, all geared up for battle as they hope to match the skill levels of other teams that have taken down the Wolves.
This should be an easy match for the Warriors as the Wolves have allowed two teams to score a combined 98 points against them and only being able to respond with 12 points total. The Wolves have only completed three passes in two games for a total of 12-yards, which is way below the national average. After 11 attempts and only completing three, the Wolves would think taking to the ground would make up for the missing yards, but defenses have also shut down that avenue. With carrying the ball only 31 times for a total of 138 yards, the ground and pound are not working for them either. Their longest rush was for only 17 yards, and on average, only getting 4.5 yards per carry, the wolves will be in dire need of some help against the Warriors defense.
Even though this year's two wins for the Warriors have come from teams forfeiting, Coach Roberts and his team are ready for any obstacle that gets in their way. Defeating the Wolves would help get their gears in motion for the rest of the season. Last year the Warriors demolished the Wolves 43 to 6. This win came from an excellent rushing scheme that the Warriors had in play averaging over 10.2-yards per carry for a total of 347 yards and five touchdowns.
Warrior fans come out and support the team as they travel to Wolves' den and show why a wolf pack is no challenge for our WARRIORS.
