Farm Credit of Northwest Florida recently announced the election of Jefferson County's Ernest C. Fulford to its Board of Directors. Fulford will be serving on the Director Loan Committee for Farm Credit of Northwest Florida.
Fulford owns and operates Fulford Family Farms, which consists of 1,200 acres of cotton and peanuts. He currently resides in Monticello, where he serves as president of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau.
Fulford is also a member of the Jefferson County Farm Service Agency Committee, Florida Peanut Producers Association, Florida Peanut Federation and serves on the Peanut/Cotton Advisory Committee for Florida Farm Bureau.
Farm Credit congratulates the selected board candidates and thanks its customers and members for participating in the election process.
The full Farm Credit of Northwest Florida Board is comprised of 11 directors, which include nine member-owners and two appointed directors who bring additional expertise and diversity to the board.
In addition to those recently elected, the Board includes Chairman Cindy Eade, Vice-Chairman D. Mark Fletcher, Board Member R. Douglas Walker, Richard Terry, Melvin Adams, Michael W. Thompson, James R. Dean, Glen Strange, Damon Boutwell and Mickey Diamond.
Farm Credit of Northwest Florida is part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, providing financing for agriculture, timber operations and businesses related to farming. Additionally, Farm Credit specializes in lending for rural land and homes, whether for purchases, refinances, improvements or construction.
