FWC to hold Earth Day cleanup event

Heather Ainsley ECB Publishing, Inc.  In recognition of Earth Day, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is hosting a clean up at the Hickory Mound Unit of the Big Bend Wildlife Management Area on April 26 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. This event is open to the public, but participants need to be able to get themselves to the Unit. They may arrive via land or by boat or kayak. FWC notes that anyone who may require special accommodation to participate should notify the agency at least seven calendar days before the event takes place; they can do this by calling (850) 295-8030.
