Girls of Royalty enjoys back-to-school gaiety

Mary Madison Contributor “All work and no play can make a dispirited person.” The officers, mentors and parents of Girls of Royalty (GOR) conveyed the sentiment of this adage, and on Saturday, Aug. 17, the organization conducted a community back-to-school festivity for the county's youth. The event occurred at the Jefferson Teen Center, where over 50 individuals in attendance, including the presence of Mayor Gloria Cox, Sheriff Mac McNeill and Catherine McNeill. The program began with fervent prayer from Minister Cox, followed by a cheerful welcome from GOR Founder/CEO Margaret Frazier.
