The Lighthouse Children's Home, a Christian residential home for at-risk teenaged girls, will be hosting an old fashioned gospel concert on Friday, March 20.
“Come join us for a night of great music and worship!” invites the Lighthouse Children's Home.
The concert will feature the gospel music of two talented bands – The Whisnants and The Old Paths.
Starting the night off, The Old Paths, a quartet from Atlanta, Ga., will begin the concert with their music.
The Old Paths have been a band since 2003, when they entered the musical ministry with a vision and heart to share the joy of Christ through song.
The band is made up of three members: Tim Rackley (founding member), Doug Roark (founding member), Daniel Ashmore (bass singer) and Steve Ladd (tenor singer).
The group takes their name from the Biblical verse of Jeremiah 6:16, which says: "Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for The Old Paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls."

For the latter half of the night, the Whisnants – a family band from North Carolina – will delight their audience with their musical worship.
The Whisnants' music began in the Appalachian Mountains during the 1970s as a family sang gospel music at home, while crowding around their family piano.
Once Jeff Whisnant, founding member of the band, married and began a family of his own, he continued his family's tradition of singing gospel with his wife and sons – and the family took their passion for musical worship on the road as a family band.
Today, the band is made up of Jeff and Susan Whisnant, and their two sons – Austin and Ethan – as well as Aaron Hise, the band's lead singer.

The gospel concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20.
General admission tickets to this event are $15 per person.
The Lighthouse Children's Home is located at 7771 Mahan Dr., in Tallahassee, only a short distance from the Jefferson/Leon County border.
