In a move to safeguard children from the potential harms of social media, Governor Ron DeSantis signed HB 3 into law on Monday, March 25. The legislation prohibits children under the age of 14 from creating social media accounts and allows 14 and 15-year-olds to do so only with parental consent. "Social media harms children in a variety of ways," remarked Governor Ron DeSantis. "HB 3 gives parents a greater ability to protect their children.
