Gunfire exchanged outside Monticello residence

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. Klay Jacob Hammond of Stanwood, Mich., born Jan. 13, 1993, was charged in Jefferson County with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle (filed Sept. 29, 2023). The Arrest Affidavit filed by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) indicates that deputies responded to a residence on Monticello Avenue in reference to a trespasser and the exchange of gunshots.
