Hannah Mae Ransom, 67, of Monticello passed unexpectedly on Sunday, June 6, 2021. Hannah earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sociology/Social Work from Florida A&M University. She worked for the former Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services (HRS) and Apalachee Mental Health, among several other agencies. She was a member of Sweetfield.
Treasuring her love and legacy are her daughter, Shereka Ransom (Michael) Anderson; sons: Dondrick Eaves, Wallace Green and Darius (Anniesha) Gallon; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters: Henrietta (Robert) Barnes, Annie Mae Reddick and DaWanda (James) Skipworth; brothers: Rev. James (Willie Mae) Thompson, Sr., Rev. Joseph (Tamekia) Nelson, Sr., Jacob (Emma) Nelson, Rev. Ben Ransom, Jr. and Rev. Bethel (Lillian) Ransom; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday, June 13, in Springfield Cemetery. Viewing and visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. at Sweetfield M.B. Church. Tillman of Monticello is serving the Ransom Family.
