Health department now offers 24/7 food locker

With the snip of a celebratory red ribbon on Thursday morning, March 21, the Florida Department of Health – Jefferson and Second Harvest of the Big Bend officially announced the availability of a round-the-clock food locker in the county. Eligible residents can now contact the health department to request food, receive a pick-up code and get a box of non-perishable groceries anytime they like during the following 48 hours, day or night. The locker has been installed in the health department's well-lit parking lot, located at 1255 W. Washington St., and has a designated parking space for those accessing this service.
