Jeanna (Gina) Kelly has been working at the Florida Department of Health in Jefferson and Madison Counties as a Personnel Liaison for 16 years. Kelly knows that public health is vital to our community and enjoys helping others through working in healthcare.
During these trying times with the pandemic, people are longing to have their problems heard and to know they are important to others. Kelly strives to help others have their voices heard.
“I enjoy being able to help others, especially if I can put a smile on their face,” said Kelly. “I want them to know that I hear them and I care. People need to feel connected.”
There are no disagreements about how challenging working in the healthcare field is. Despite the challenges, Kelly always tries to do her best for the patients. According to Kelly, the most difficult part about working in healthcare is “trying to meet everyone’s demands while staying within the guidelines and rules that have been set. Sometimes, it’s not that we don’t want to help, it’s just not within our power.”
Outside of her job, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her children, Erin Kelly Greene (Hunter) and Cody Kelly, and her grandchildren, Emma and Jackson Greene.
