Hearing for proposed new funeral home in city set for June 3

City officials are scheduled to hear two zoning-related applications next week that have the potential to generate extensive discussion.
The two applications pertain to a 0.77-acre property at 370 S. Jefferson, the front part of which is currently zoned B-2, or business highway, and the rear portion of which is zoned R-1, or residential.
The same property is designated as commercial and conservation/low density residential on the comprehensive plan and on the Future Land Use Map (FLUM).
