Hearing on Dollar General rescheduled

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. The large turnout that was expected for the recent site plan review of the new Dollar General Store by the Monticello Local Planning Agency (LPA) failed to happen. Only 15 people showed up for the hearing on Tuesday evening, Nov. 21. And of the 15, one was the developer, two were the siblings selling the property, a third was a city council member and the fourth was the city’s consultant engineer. The limited showing was likely due to the looming Thanksgiving holiday and people having travel plans or already having left the area.
