Heaven-Leigh Purvis and Maggie Walker Crowned 2025 Miss and Teen Miss Watermelon Queens

Emerald Greene ECB Publishing, Inc.  Jefferson County residents gathered Saturday evening, May 31, at the Old High School Auditorium to watch the very popular and much-loved Miss and Teen Miss Watermelon Queen pageant.  The audience watched as nine young ladies vied for the coveted title of Miss Watermelon Queen and four young ladies competed for the title of Teen Miss Watermelon Queen. The evening began with an opening number depicting the Watermelon Festival’s theme of “In My Watermelon Era;” a dance thru the decades.
