Wanting to spread a little Christmas cheer to the animals at the Wolf Creek Pet Adoption Center?
Adopting a shelter pet isn’t the only way to help out and make the lives of the cats and dogs at Wolf Creek a little happier; those who want to support a local organization can also do so through donations and volunteer hours for the animals at Wolf Creek.
The staff at Wolf Creek say that the items on their ‘Christmas List’ of needs right now are plastic storage bins, toys and treats, scratching boards and posts, kitty litter and litter scoops for cats, as well as toys and treats, collars, leashes and harnesses for dogs.
They also need metal buckets, kiddy pools, food bowls, can openers, towels, blankets, cat food, and dog food. Volunteers are also always welcome at the center!
Those who decide to volunteer their time at Wolf Creek Pet Adoption Center will be able to enjoy hours of playing, brushing and walking the cats and dogs at the center. Volunteers aren’t expected to clean out pens or care for sick or injured animals.
Socialization is a big aid to the cats and dogs looking for new homes. Many animals are frightened or shy when they arrive at the center; some have had bad homes, or are scared in the new environment at Wolf Creek.
The time that a volunteer gives to helping a shy animal come out of their corner can make the difference in helping that animal find a forever home.
Donations can be brought to Wolf Creek at their location a few miles east of the Courthouse, at 2123 E Washington Street.
Individuals interested in volunteering can visit the center, or give the center a call at (850) 342-0244.
Wolf Creek Pet Adoption Center is open all week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the exception of Tuesdays, when the center is closed.
Want to make a difference in the life of a shelter animal this holiday season? Donate your time or donate items to Wolf Creek – every little bit makes a difference.
