Helping Others Still Makes Jefferson County Great
Back in February 2018, I wrote about how a group of local men had taken it upon themselves to remove a tree that had fallen across US 90, and had the road cleared in minutes. In a society that is more and more dependent upon government for nearly everything, this was truly the exception to the rule.
The recent hurricane Debby reinforced this for me. I had the misfortune to have not one but three large trees and some smaller ones fall across my driveway, which prevented all vehicular traffic.
