Henry J. Johnson, age 72, of Monticello, Fla., passed away at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Fla., on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
Henry was the son of the late Annie Rosa Johnson. He attended school at Howard Academy, where he was in the Class of 1966 graduates.
Henry was a people-person; he loved to go sit and talk and he was frequently found at the home of his friends and classmate, Simon and Louise Randolph.
Henry was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise Ministries (Elder Willie C. Cuyler, pastor), where he served as a deacon until he moved back to Palmetto, Fla.
Left to cherish his love and legacy is his daughter, Felicia (Shawn) Waiters; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Etta Brinson; one brother, Eddie (Albera Johnson); a sister-in-law, Aline Johnson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are two sisters, Mary Johnson and Rosa Johnson; and two brothers, Earnest Johnson and Benjamin Johnson.
