For over 17 years, our readers have enjoyed the annual opportunity to get a professional photo of their children taken for publication in the Monticello News or Jefferson County Journal, through a partnership with a photography company called Interpress Studios. In recent years, Interpress Studios has permanently closed, and is no longer offering mobile photography opportunities.
As such, Greene Publishing, Inc., Monticello News and Riverbend News are coming together to continue this long-standing service with the founding of Newsflash Photography. Now you can enjoy the benefit of the Interpress Studios service straight from the local newspaper you already love and trust. Here's how it works:
Book an appointment to be photographed by a member of our Newsflash Photography team members, and enjoy a professional mini shoot of your child or family member. There is no age requirement, and all photos taken of children will
be featured in a special edition of the newspaper, entitled “Tomorrow's Leaders.” There is zero cost to having your child's photo in the paper, and there is no obligation to purchase any photos taken.
Should you wish to purchase the photos taken during your personal photoshoot, you may do so by visiting our SmugMug website, where all of the photos will be uploaded and available for purchase. The cost to download is $20 for ALL photos in a single shoot. It should be noted that while you can also book a family photo shoot, the photos are not eligible to be published in the paper in the “Leaders of Tomorrow” section. You can, however, still purchase the images through our SmugMug site.
These photos would make a wonderful gift for grandparents, or a framed decoration in your home. Once you download the images, they are yours to create any number of precious keepsakes with.
