High speed chase ends in crash

The Madison County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) has reported that at around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, while a deputy was monitoring traffic on I-10 in Madison County, a speeding westbound vehicle was signaled to stop but failed to do so. MCSO Capt. Jarrod Lauth said that the vehicle was pursued for 10-15 miles, and when it was apparent the vehicle would cross the county line, backup was requested from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
