Historic courthouse to get needed repairs

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. Jefferson County officials have hired a contractor to do restoration work on the historic courthouse in the heart of Monticello. On Thursday, Oct. 22, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners approved an award and construction agreement with Tallahassee-based OliverSperry Renovation to do $798,790 worth of restoration work on the iconic building. As County Manager Doug Baber explained it to the board, the courthouse restoration project was put out
