In the Christian faith, Holy Week is the week that falls between Palm Sunday and Easter, and is observed with special solemnity as a time of great devotion to the passion of Jesus Christ. The week begins with Palm Sunday, when Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem. The week continues from there, leading through The Last Supper and the crucifixion, ending on Easter Sunday with Jesus' resurrection. Members of various churches come together in faith during this week to celebrate and recognize Jesus' sacrifice, which launched the New Covenant that God promised that many had prophesied throughout the book of the Old Testament. The dates for Holy Week 2022 are Sunday, April 10 through Saturday, April 16. Easter is on Sunday, April 17.
