The Aucilla Christian Academy (ACA) Warriors racked up nearly 450 yards of offense as they cruised to a 46-20 victory over the Academy of Classical Education (ACE) Charter Gryphons in front of a happy Homecoming crowd on Friday, Oct. 19. With the win, the Warriors further solidified their playoff standing while improving their record to 7-1 for the season. The Warriors are currently in fourth place in the Region 1 Class 2A power rankings.
Brady Browning was nearly perfect, completing all nine of his pass attempts for 281 yards and four touchdown passes. Blake Wirick hit the century mark on the ground again, rushing for 128 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns. Andrew Burrus added 27 yards on six carries with one touchdown. Browning was named the Offensive Player of the Week. Jared Grant was named the Defensive Player of the Week for his four total tackles. Wirick was named the Warrior of the Week.
Next up for the Warriors will be an away game against the Spartans of St. Johns Country Day School, on Friday, Oct. 26. The Spartans are coming off a 38-6 win over the Generals of Georgia Christian, from Valdosta. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. St. Johns Country Day School is located at 3100 Doctors Lake Drive, in Orange Park, FL.
