The Jefferson County Homeschool Association (JCHAI) performed a production of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” at the Monticello Opera House on Thursday, May 20. The 19 student cast was directed by Michelle Dollar. The Elizabethan dances were choreographed by Kristy Lehman and the back stage was kept orderly by Tracy Peters.
Anna Kate Dollar’s depiction of Beatrice stole the show. The other lead roles were Zoey Lee as Benedick, Tessia Brookins as Claudio, Aria Lehman as Hero and Reid Brookins as Leonato. Allie Dollar performed as Dogberry and also performed a violin solo in her second role as Balthasar, a musician.
JCHAI thanks the community for showing their support as well as the Opera House for allowing the performance to take place in the beautiful downstairs hall.
