House Fire - ECB Publishing, Inc.

Kenzie James ECB Publishing, Inc. Jefferson County Fire Rescue (JCFR) responded Monday evening to a report of a house fire in Monticello. JCFR received a call at 6:57 p.m. on Monday, May 13, with the report of a kitchen fire at 1415 Malloy Landing Rd. Wacissa Volunteer Fire Rescue personnel were the first on the scene and JCFR arrived at the scene at 7:21 p.m. They were able to extinguish the fire in the house, which was a fixed mobile structure. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office also responded to the fire and remained on scene with the homeowner after JCFR left at 9:10 p.m. The homeowner, whose name was not provided in the JCFR fire report, was the only person in the house at the
