House fire on Vista Road: Family picks up the pieces after losing it all

Heather Ainsley ECB Publishing, Inc.  On Thursday evening on April 17, at around 4:45 p.m., Jefferson County Fire Rescue (JCFR) responded to a 911 call about a home that was reportedly fully engulfed in flames.  The homeowner, Nicholas Shealy, had been driving home from Monticello when he had noticed a massive plume of smoke that appeared to be coming from the direction of his home. Shealy was able to check his home security cameras while in route and saw that ten minutes prior, the cameras had captured what appeared to be smoke present outside of his garage and near the front door. The images of smoke were the last recordings before the devices failed due to loss of power.  U
